The IOTA Electro-Optical Director (EOD) is a high performance direct drive servo positioning and tracking platform.
It has been specifically developed for accurate control of optical sensor payloads in demanding applications such as, long range surveillance with dynamic motion stabilisation and micro-radian absolute positioning and pointing.
The IOTA EOD offers the customer outstanding versatility and reliability due to its efficient compact T-shaped design, the use of brushless servo motors and customisable payload configurations. Since its introduction in 2005 with the UK Royal Navy, a land-based vehicle version has been developed and used by the Army and is in active service for stabilised mast mounted long range reconnaissance and battlefield management.
