Effective Project Control
Over many years Chess has developed comprehensive design procedures, which provide an effective framework to control projects through the design processes into prototyping, testing and production. The procedures and controls encompassed in our ISO9001 accreditation are adequate for project management without being cumbersome, or stifling creativity. Our documentation procedures ensure that installed equipment and products can be maintained and supported throughout their long operational life.
Responsibility
On receipt of a customer order, a project engineer is appointed. A project file is compiled with all documentation from the enquiry file; this includes resource planning in the form of a project plan along with the normal engineering functions. The project engineer has day-to-day responsibilities, both technically and commercially, and is the focus of communication between the Customer and Supplier to ensure compliance with agreed specifications and undertaking commercial negotiations when required.

Our well-proven ISO9001 procedures have been honed over the years to provide a comprehensive structure for project control covering documentation and drawing control, design procedures, progress reviews and software development and control.
