Stabilisation

All our systems can be stabilised against vehicle and ships motion using a range of stabilisation sensors and techniques. Chess Dynamics can supply affordable single and dual axis Rate Gyro Units (RGU's) and Vertical Reference Units (VRU's) for a variety of applications and performance requirements.

The following video clips shows the Iota system on our in-house motion simulator accurately stabilising optical sensors in equivalent sea state 5 conditions.

Target and Video Tracking Systems

High dynamic performance and smoothness is important when target tracking.The following video clip shows the Zeta system tracking the Saab Gripen at the Farnborough Air Show.

The video picture is taken from our Piranha 10 camera interfaced to an OCTEC digital video tracker.

The Zeta2 electro optical director is ideally suited to carrying heavy and varied optical sensor payloads, such as Thermal Imagers, long-range TV Cameras and Laser range finders.

All Zeta directors have front and rear sensor connector mounting plates on the elevation housing. This provides a convenient and tidy internal cabling solution with optional exit connectors positioned in the azimuth lower housing sides or base.
