Celebrating Chess Technologies’ Group Managing Director, David Tuddenham, on his 10th Work Anniversary

AUGUST 12, 2021

We’ve just found that someone tried to sneak in a 10th work anniversary without us realising. But we’re going to mark this impressive occasion by celebrating all things David and take the opportunity to do a well-deserved shout-out!

David has had an unbelievable impact on our business since joining back in 2011. During his time with us, we’ve thrived, grown, innovated and developed into one of the leading British surveillance, tracking and gunfire control specialists – and he has played an extremely important role in our success.

Let’s look at some of the pivotal moments he’s shared with us over the past ten years…

2011 and the few years that followed, were really interesting for Chess. This is when the business heads were strategically deciding where the core strengths lay and how growth could be achieved. David was a part of this planning stage and played an essential role in laying the foundations for how the Group operates today.

David started his journey with Chess as Operations Director, swiftly moving up the ranks to Deputy Managing Director in 2014 as he showed commitment and passion towards the company’s commercial excellence.

Today, David is Chess Technologies’ Group Manager Director, a role to which he brings strong confidence to achieve aggressive growth targets alongside a passion for delivering engineering excellence for high-calibre projects.

Like all businesses, Chess has faced challenging times, had to navigate testing contracts and needed to overcome growing pains. However it is in these times that David’s resolve has truly come to light. His ability to be resilient and remain calm and considered under pressure has helped the group navigate choppy waters and emerge stronger.

His supportive nature and leadership qualities have also gone a long way with his colleagues and team members, particularly throughout the challenges brought about by 2020.

A genuinely nice chap, a great peer and sounding board, a natural leader.

Congratulations David on your work anniversary! We wish you many happy and successful years to come.
