Chess Shines at the 2023 Cohort Business Excellence Awards!

Cohort's annual celebration of excellence took place last week in London, and Chess walked away with an impressive haul of 9 awards! This year saw individual and team nominations recognised for their outstanding contributions across various categories.
The purpose of the awards is to recognise and reward employees and team’s business excellence across the Cohort Group; employees working in a way that leads to an excellent outcome for the business. The awards not only focus on business successes such as contract awards, they also recognise and reward the talent, hard work and innovation that exists at all levels of the Group that is directed towards achieving our long‐term objectives. Everyone can therefore contribute to business excellence, regardless of role or seniority, and in teams or as individuals.
Individual Achievements:

Adam Wicks: Scored a Silver Award for his passionate efforts in promoting STEM education through engaging young minds with the company's engineering endeavours.

Tom Clark & Joseph Milner-Smith: Double Bronze in the Early Career category, highlighting their promising potential and impactful contributions.

Jack Kirkman: Grabbed a Silver Award in the Early Year category, demonstrating early excellence and a bright future with the company.

Nicola Daoud & Alice Moore (SEA): Bronze Team Award for their stellar work coordinating the Cohort DSEi Stand, ensuring a successful presentation.

MBDA Project Team: A well-deserved Bronze for their collective effort, with team members Andy Baish, Michael Otty, Matt Bennett, John Tassell, Ziggy Grabowski, Delia Dixon, Mike Bearman, Penny Brown, and Shelley Carver receiving the recognition.

Wokingham Algorithms Team: Jonny Mirza, Matt Hogg, and Yogesh Sadapal's collaborative efforts earned them a Bronze Award in their category.

Operations Leadership Team: This powerhouse team, comprising Martin Simms, Lisa Moon, Penny Brown, Andrew Rackley, Jeremy Wise, Magdalena King, Colin Pitman, Marc Matheson, and Dave White, took home a Silver Award for their exceptional leadership.
